FAQs

Our Frequently Asked Questions page will be updated..frequently.  Thus, the questions will be posted in a chronological order and not sorted by topic.

Question:  “What is your minimum order?”

  • Answer:  Our minimum order is 36 shirts per design.  You can mix and match different shirt styles, sizes, etc. as long as we print 36 shirts.

Question:  “What is your typical lead time?”

  • Answer:  Our standard lead time is 10 days from receipt of payment and approval of final proofs.  Larger orders or complicated prints (multiple print locations, custom tagging, hang tags, poly bagging, etc.) may increase production time.  We will give you an anticipated ship date prior to receiving your order.

Question:  “What is a screen set up fee?”

  • Answer:  For each design we must expose or “burn” one screen for each color being printed and in each print location.  Setting up a job correctly requires a lot of time and ensures high quality prints.  Most screen printers will charge a screen set up fee.

Question:  “Will I have to pay screen set up fees when I reorder?”

  • Answer:  Unlike many screen printers, we will waive the set up fees on a reorder within 30 days of the original order.  Reorders after 30 days will be assessed the set up fees.

Question:  “Can you print a custom tag inside of the shirt?”

  • Answer:  Yes.  We do it quite often.  It’s common for clothing lines to have their own personalized “tag” with care instructions on the inside of the shirt.  WE SCREEN PRINT THEM ONLY.  We do not sew in woven tags (see below for reasons why).  Before jumping in and creating the artwork for your custom printed tags, talk to us.  There are federal requirements as to the information put into a tag.  We will let you know what those requirements are.

Question:  “Do you print a white under base when printing on a dark or black shirt?”

  • Answer:  Yes and No.  Simple colored text, for example, that needs to really pop out against the dark shirt will need an under base.  Sometimes a design will look better with a distressed or faded look, in which case an under base would not be required.  Discharge Inks do not need an under base.  Maybe a better answer should be; It depends on the desired look of the design. We always address this during our proofing process.

Question:  “Do you design shirts or just print them?”

  • Answer:  Well, we do both.  Our art department is here to assist those who have a shirt concept but need help with the graphics.  We will also simply print a customer’s existing artwork onto a shirt of their choice.

Question:  “Do you do embroidery?”

  • Answer:  No.  We screen print only.

Question:  “Do you provide woven tags?”

  • Answer:  No.  We screen print tags only.  Reasons; tags are itchy, expensive, sewing seems complicated.

Question:  “Do you carry brands other than those listed on your website?”

  • Answer:  Yes.  We carry hundreds of brands.  If there is a brand that you are interested in, send us a quick email to check if we carry them.  Chances are that we do.  If not, we are always interested in expanding our product base.

Question:  “Will the inks fade?”

  • Answer:  Not from normal use.  The inks on a properly cured shirt should not crack, fade, flake, etc.  Our prints are always cured at their recommended temperature and for the recommended amount of time.  Each print run is thoroughly tested as well.

Question:  “What is your policy on misprints?”

  • Answer:  We are very cautious of misprints.  We do our best to not make any.  Occasionally, one will slip through though.  IF you get a misprint, let us know…don’t get mad…we’ll fix it…we promise.

Question:  “What else will you print on besides t-shirts?”

  • Answer:  We’ll print on t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, polos, tank tops, hoodies, scoop-necks, v-necks, turtle-necks, any-kind-of-necks, shorts, pants, etc.  We only print on apparel.  That means no flyers, pens, golf balls, signs.  Just apparel.  I guess we really like clothes.

Question:  “Can you print from a photograph?”

  • Answer:  Yes.  But contact us about it.  In most cases we find that people send us photographs to be used as a basis for a design idea and don’t actually want the photograph printed on a shirt.  Our art department will help you take the design idea from photograph to t-shirt.

Question:  “Do you do hangtags?”

  • Answer:  We do print one kind of hangtag.  We’ll be honest…they are expensive…but they look great.  They are made of hemp, twine, a metal grommet, and have your personalized graphics printed on them.
